Overview

Between Clos de la Roche and Clos des Lambrays, Clos Saint-Denis occupies an east-facing sector around 250 meters. Brown limestone soils with clay support perfumed Pinot Noir noted for red fruit, floral nuance, fine texture, and graceful rather than imposing structure.

Geography & Climate

The compact appellation lies on the east-facing mid-slope of Morey-Saint-Denis, immediately south of Clos de la Roche.

Soils

Pebble-light brown limestone soils contain clay and phosphorus over Jurassic limestone.

Wine Styles

Red Pinot Noir exclusively, generally fragrant, nuanced, finely structured, and long-lived.
