Shenandoah Valley AVA
Shenandoah Valley AVA follows the Great Appalachian Valley through Virginia and into West Virginia. Mountain barriers, comparatively low rainfall and humidity, varied elevation, rocky well-drained soils, and cool nights support fresh Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Franc, hybrids, and a wide range of other grapes.
