Franconia

Franconia (Blaufränkisch) is a red grape variety grown in northeastern Italy and throughout Central Europe. It produces medium to full-bodied wines with good acidity, moderate tannins, and flavors of dark fruits, spice, and sometimes a characteristic peppery note.
