Central Valley
Chile's Central Valley is the country's principal wine-producing region, extending through the broad depression between the Andes and Coastal Range. Maipo, Rapel, Curicó, and Maule provide more specific origins for Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, País, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and many other grapes.
Notable factOfficial 2025 declarations attributed more than four-fifths of Chilean denomination-of-origin wine production to the Central Valley wine region.
