Loire Valley
The Loire Valley follows France's longest river from Atlantic vineyards near Nantes through Anjou, Saumur, Touraine, and the Central Vineyards. Its many appellations produce fresh whites, reds, rosés, sparkling wines, and sweet wines from Melon, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc, and other grapes.
Notable factThe region stretches hundreds of kilometres along the Loire, so its western and eastern vineyards experience meaningfully different Atlantic and continental influences.
